The Tennessee Titans on Saturday announced that two players will be out for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions: running back Tyjae Spears and linebacker Jerome Baker.
Spears, the team’s second-leading rusher with 114 yards, missed last week’s 34-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills with an injured hamstring and had been listed as questionable before being ruled out Saturday.
The 23-year-old was a third-round draft pick of the Titans in 2023, running for 453 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie.
Baker, 27, appeared in five games for the Seattle Seahawks this season before being traded to Tennessee earlier this week. He’s also dealing with a hamstring injury.
Baker has amassed 624 tackles and 23 1/2 sacks over seven seasons with the Seahawks and Miami Dolphins.
Veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian was elevated from the practice squad along with running back Joshua Kelley. Siemian is expected to back up starter Mason Rudolph on Sunday with Will Levis battling a shoulder injury and listed questionable.
Tackle Jaelyn Duncan (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve.
